We actually use 8.5 feet/2.5 meters of 4 x 33 to accomplish a 4.24 foot/1.25 meter run of cable. "What are the greatest weaknesses of any early SME tonearm? The internal wiring followed very closely by the early four pin horizontal SME DIN connector of course! No one else in the world employs two independent continuous runs of 4 x 33 fully RF shielded wire further encapsulated in an additional outer fully shielded RF jacket.
Visually it is a museum-quality restoration, but it goes far beyond.
Note that though this is not perfect - it's an older used arm - it is in amazing condition!.this Series 2 Improved with removable headshell was amazingly restored by Alfred Kayser at SME Tonearms in Canada, and the only reason I'm selling this masterpiece is that I have two.Īs you can see from the pictures, this arm is absolutely stunning.
